What's up?

Hello, I am Rocky, the white boy.

I am a country Westie. I was adopted into my master's family over ten years ago (the Mrs. just had to have me), and good years they've been. My mom and my dad are good people I look up to. I also have an excellent brother.

You can see the photo of me that he took a couple of years ago. It pretty much summarizes the comforts of life I enjoy. Mom might have preferred that I had posted a more formal picture, by way of introduction, one that might have shown me with my hair at least brushed and me seated more properly as most dogs would--you know a traditional head and shoulder portrait with the big smile my mother loves. Maybe I'll put one of those up later, but I guess I wanted you to see the everyday me to begin with.

I suppose there are those of you who might be curious as to particulars. My heritage is that of a West Highland White Terrier from the bonnie land of the Scots. I am tall, big, and well-exercised. I don't think I've ever met another of my kind to be equal in stature (granted I've never been an extensive traveler). I am approximately 13 inches tall at the shoulders and roughly 26 inches long from nose to rump (depending on how I'm holding my head). I will most definitely sit on a person's lap (people are great!), but sometimes they comment that my feet are starting to drive into their legs. My weight fluctuates in the lower twenties, say 22, 23 lbs.

I have lots more to tell you in future postings about my life in the country.
